CrossSelfies is a series built from amateur pornography, selfies, nudes and intimate self-portrait prints, taken from the palm of the hand and reinterpreted through paint. By translating these digital fragments into paint, I evoke a personal expressionism: a warm, dense gesture that seeks to express the heat, virility, weight and delicacy of the moment. On the images, I inscribe intersections like a mysterious veil that crowns the flesh with a sign of the invisible. They are reminders of a superior force, of a sacred energy that runs through the pornographic. Perhaps ancient customs, perhaps a secret spirituality or perhaps simply the vibration that unites us in the moments when body and desire meet.
